I speak, read and write Gujarati and Hindi, so families who speak these languages can be assessed and supported directly, without an interpreter in the room.

Parents can explain themselves in their own words, and children can be heard in the language they are most at ease in.

About Blossom

I qualified as a social worker in 2001 and spent 15 years in frontline child in need and child protection services in London local authorities.

I have been practising as an Independent Social Worker since 2021, providing assessments, reports and family support for solicitors, local authorities and parents.

I speak, read and write Gujarati and Hindi, and I understand the cultural context many South Asian families are describing.

How an instruction works

  1. Get in touch

    Tell me the type of assessment, the court timetable and the local authority involved. Leave out names and case details for now.

  2. Agree the instruction

    I confirm availability, scope, fees and a filing date in writing before work begins. Professionals send the letter of instruction and the bundle.

  3. The assessment

    Reading, interviews, observations and direct work with the children, with their welfare at the centre.

  4. The report

    A clear, evidence-based report showing how each conclusion was reached, filed by the agreed date.
